FCC - Financial Crimes Compliance- Officer

As a Vice President within an Italian branch of a European CIB bank, you will lead the FCC program to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and Group requirements. You will develop and implement an effective compliance framework focusing on AML/CTF, sanctions, and ABC while partnering with local and HQ teams. You will apply a risk-based approach to guide decision‑making, onboarding, and transaction reviews. Your impact includes strengthening the compliance management system and delivering training and reporting to senior stakeholders.
- identify applicable regulatory and Group requirements and assess their impact on processes
- advise business functions on FCC risks, especially onboarding and transactions
- review and validate policies and procedures and enforce them
- assess and enhance organizational measures to mitigate FCC risk
- coordinate FCC activities across the organization and 1st Line of Defense
- provide regular FCC reporting to HQ and local management
- inform the FCC department promptly on compliance issues
- share best practices across the Bank and with Group Compliance & FCC
- deliver training sessions to employees
- support the Local Chief Compliance Officer in product/service adequacy assessments and regulatory reporting
- university level degree or comparable
- second level master's in Compliance or related fields would be a plus
- at least 7 years of experience
- Italian mother tongue and fluent in English
- track record in Compliance or Internal Audit or consultancy
- deep knowledge of European and Italian banking law and AML/CTF, sanctions, AB&C;
- knowledge of GDPR, anti-usury and transparency regulations a plus; MiFID experience advantageous
