Job DescriptionHitachi Rail is seeking a Validation Engineer to join its team, based in Genoa. The successful candidate will become part of the team specialized in Hitachi Rail's product certification activities, working within a laboratory qualified according to the EN 17025 standard and operating in compliance with the company's quality management system.
The role involves laboratory activities, coordination of certification tests,
and support for the maintenance and continuous improvement of the laboratory quality management system.
Responsibilities
- Perform Hitachi Rail laboratory activities, including both documentation-related tasks and hands-on testing activities.
- Prepare Type Test documentation, including Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Reports, in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Set up test configurations and conduct laboratory testing on products.
- Coordinate and oversee testing activities carried out at external laboratories accredited by ACCREDIA.
- Verify and monitor laboratory equipment calibration activities and the related documentation.
- Support the maintenance and updating of the laboratory Quality Management System.
- Ensure the correct application of technical standards and metrological methodologies related to the tests performed.
