As Castings Commodity Leader, you guide the commodity strategy and lead a cross‐functional team of Buyers and Casting Technical Leaders to secure performance, cost, and supply continuity. You coordinate with sourcing, supplier quality, procurement, and technical teams to deliver business objectives and long‐term strategy. Your role spans strategic sourcing, supplier development, and risk mitigation to support turbine‐related initiatives within Avio Aero and GE Aerospace. You will drive collaboration and continuous improvement in a fast‐paced, engineering‐driven environment.

Develop and deploy sourcing strategies to ensure supplier performance, continuity, quality, and cost competitiveness
Forecast commodity demand and harmonize with the overall Sourcing strategy and supply base footprint
Ensure sourcing process integrity, productivity, quality, and timely fulfillment




Negotiate supplier contracts to meet business needs
Apply financial, negotiation, and project management knowledge to drive outcomes
Align commodity activities with Supply Chain and company goals while mitigating risks
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations to ensure supplier capability and readiness
Monitor market trends and supplier risks with mitigation plans
Own commodity metrics (KPI, deflation, cost‐out, non‐quality costs)
Foster strong relationships with plants and extended teams to meet customer delivery requirements
Leverage collective negotiation experience in complex multi‐party agreements
Strengthen and renew supplier base while promoting collaboration and excellence
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related scientific field
Knowledge of Avio Aero turbine products
Strong leadership and organizational skills with experience coordinating complex programs
Proven negotiation, program/project management, and supply cha
