Purpose of the PositionAs 1st Offshore Construction Shift Supervisor within the Asset Based Services Business Line (ABSER) of the Offshore Operations Department, you will coordinate and supervise all construction activities on board.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate work and manpower on board for the assigned shift, ensuring efficient performance and compliance with HSE and quality procedures.
- Assist the Offshore Construction Manager with interdisciplinary coordination of all works on board.
- Supervise foremen and supervisors across construction and assembly disciplines,
ensuring quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate construction activities during the shift and optimize all production phases.
- Keep the Offshore Construction Manager fully informed of potential problems and construction status.
- Liaise with the Chief Mate, 2nd Engineer, and Vessel Equipment Engineer to ensure preventive maintenance and construction activities.
- Liaise with subcontractors' supervisors to optimize production.
- Solve coordination, priority, and interface issues between different disciplines to meet project scopes.
- Ensure the Permit‐to‐Work system for construction crew is adhered to and that daily Tool Box Talks and JSA are carried out according to procedures.
- Motivate construction crew and subcontractors regarding health, safety, and environmental awareness.
- Ensure compliance with Saipem QHSE policies and safety procedures.
