This role is open to candidates that are willing to relocate in Pisa (Italy).
The candidate will have the possibility to face and solve challenging problems in different areas including, for example: (i) Detection and Tracking of targets in war scenarios based on optical and infrared on-ground cameras,
as well as data fusion of detection metadata with other data sources (e.g. radar) (ii) development of a solution for Predictive Maintenance and Anomaly Detection of underwater infrastructures based on a network of underwater sensors, (iii) Classification of underwater objects and long-term temporal monitoring and Change Detection of underwater infrastructure based on LiDAR data, (iv) Generative AI for improvement of internal System Engineering processes.
As a Data Scientist, we expect that you will be able to tackle business challenges with autonomy and scientific rigor and contribute to a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement within the Laboratory.
