We are currently seeking a Thermodynamic Engineer to join our dynamic team in Piove di Sacco (PD)
Vertiv is looking for a Thermodynamic HVAC/chiller Engineer to be part of the Thermal Management mechanical Design team within the R&D; Department, based in Piove di Sacco (PD) - Italy. He/She will be mainly focused on the Chiller and Chilled Water products.
What kind of work will you be doing?
- To manage the development of new R&D; products in the data center cooling sector for high profile and well-known global datacenter customers.
- Deliver a fast and customer focused response on NPDI projects, where a new solution is based on an existing and well proven platform.
- Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team on global products focusing on high performance, cost effective design and market leading innovation.
- To lead the design of new products or re-engineer existing ones, collaborating with, Marketing, Procurement and Industrial Engineering, being aware of the customer’s needs.
- To approve and review product documentation (CAD drawings, specifications, bills of material).
- To meet objectives of cost, quality, environment and time of execution, achieving the best trade-off between market and internal customer needs.
- To analyze and resolve technical problems as regards products under his/her responsibility.
- Availability to travel on request between the Italian HQ (base) and other divisions (mainly North America and China).
- A good level of experience in the HVAC
