GMM, General Medical Merate, in the perspective of an evolution that it is undertaking, is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer.
Mechanical Engineer who, under the supervision of the Area Manager, is able to conceive solutions and develop simple and complex electromedical equipment. The candidate must have knowledge of and be able to manage the entire process of design, prototyping, validation, and production ramp-up of a complete piece of equipment.
Design and Engineering: Develops products and components with defined functional, technical, and cost characteristics.
Industrialization:
Identifies materials and manufacturing technologies consistent with specifications and estimates production cycle costs.
Analysis and Validation: Collaborates in drafting user, maintenance, and production documentation.
Supplier Management: Oversees prototype manufacturing with external suppliers or internal departments, working in teams with other company functions.
Experience and Skills
Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes:
Metallurgy: Aluminum extrusion, sand casting (aluminum and cast iron), permanent mold aluminum casting, die casting.
Machining and Plastics: Precision light metal fabrication, ABS thermoforming, expanded materials.
Knowledge of Rapid Prototyping Processes: Proficiency in the main methods, including:
Additive Technologies (3D Printing): FDM, SLA, SLS, MJF.
Subtractive Techniques: CNC milling for high-precision parts.
CAD Systems: Advanced use of SolidWorks (mandatory, at least 3 years). Knowledge of Creo 3 and CoCreate ME10 is a plus.
