Job Title: Ophthalmic Scribe - Experience Required

Location: Florence, KY 41042
Travel: Travel to our office in Crestwood, KY will be required as needed; we do pay mileage reimbursement

*experience as a Medical Scribe is required

Hours:
- Tempo pieno
- Our offices are open from Monday-Friday 7am-7pm.
- Your shifts will fall within those hours, and you may need to work a little earlier/later as needed.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Experience working as an Ophthalmic and/or Optometric Technician is preferred
- Scribing experience is required
- Favorable result on Background Check
- Basic computer skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Excitement to learn and grow

Essential Functions:
- Facilitate patient flow
- Assist the doctor in preliminary testing




- Verify medical and vision insurances
- Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers
- Answer inquiries through phone, email, and in-person requests

SUMMARY

An Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe is a valuable asset to an Ophthalmologist as they assist in providing excellent patient care to the patients during their visit. This employee will use ophthalmic techniques to perform preliminary work-up of patients in a clinic setting, scribe for Physicians and may also directly assist Physician(s) with examinations and treatment of patients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone).
- Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave
