As a Commis Chef at Zuma, we’re passionate about delivering exceptional culinary experiences, and you’ll play a key role in crafting dishes that leave a lasting impression. Zuma is a contemporary Japanese restaurant collection, inspired by the dynamic Izakaya dining style. This role will be based in Zuma Rome, located in the Palazzo Fendi with a restaurant and roof terrace overlooking the Eternal City. Zuma Rome is proud to be part of the Azumi Collection.
Responsibilities
- Ensure mise en place levels are maintained to guarantee smooth service, with a focus on quality, consistency, and impeccable presentation
- Embrace opportunities to learn and grow, gaining experience across various kitchen sections under the guidance of senior chefs
- Inspect incoming goods for quality and accuracy, ensuring proper storage practices and minimizing waste
- Prepare food products according to recipes, ensuring precision, care,
and adherence to the highest preparation standards
- Conduct daily hygiene checks in storage areas and maintain clean, organized workstations in line with Zuma’s high standards
- Follow Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment at all times
