Within the Space Division, for the Opto-Mechanical & Thermal Engineering unit, we are looking for an Optical Engineer for our office in Campi Bisenzio (FI). The person will be responsible for managing the analyses necessary to validate an opto‐mechanical architecture, such as tolerancing analysis, alignment plan definition, thermal analysis and straylight analysis.
Educational Qualification




Master's degree in Physics and/or Aerospace Engineering with an Optics specialization.
PhD in Physics is a preferential title.
Required Experience Level
Expert: 3-5 years of experience in the role.
Technical skills and knowledge in the field of Optical Engineering, such as
Experience in optical design and optical performance analysis, possibly in the aerospace field or electro‐optical instrumentation.
Ability to analyze and manage requirements.
Ability to draft documentation in English.
Data analysis and correlation of mathematical models with respect to results.
Preparation of documentation: test and validation reports, specifications, test plans and procedures.
Nice to Have
Stray Light analysis capability.
Laboratory experience and use of optical instrumentation.
