The Laser Specialist will be part of the R&D; technical department for laser technology. The candidate will provide substantive guidance to, or participate in, coordinate and supervise R&D; activities, bridging the gap between advanced research and practical product implementation, ensuring that all new developments meet the highest scientific and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate possesses deep scientific expertise and capability to produce technical documents and specifications.

As our Laser Specialist, you'll support HID's success by:
Advanced design of laser optical solutions with the ability to make use of dedicated optical software (e.g. Zemax)
Drafting complex technical documentation, detailed technical specifications, and system‐level requirements. Translating high level feature specifications to process specifications for mechanical, software and electrical teams
Gathering and transferring professional knowledge in assigned focus areas (laser and optics)
Managing and authoring documentation related to laser safety standards, ensuring all systems meet international regulatory requirements
