About the role
The Director of Golf is responsible for overseeing all golf operations at The Gardens, the Tom Fazio‐designed championship course, while ensuring the highest standards of service, course presentation, programming, and member engagement. This position is a key leader and plays an integral role in delivering an exceptional golf experience for members and guests.
What you will do
Create and adjust daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules to support operational needs and business priorities.
Supervise and participate in fertilizer and pesticide applications, ensuring safe and effective practices are followed.
Assist in managing payroll and departmental operating budgets.
Partner with Golf Operations staff to coordinate tournaments, weather-related closures, and special member requests.
Recruit, train, develop, and supervise the golf service team.

Oversee the seeding, fertilization, topdressing, soil conditioning, irrigation, and pest and weed control programs for the golf course and practice facilities.
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA standards related to chemical and fertilizer storage, disposal, employee safety, and public safety.
Work closely with leaders in Golf Maintenance, Residential Services, and Resort Food & Beverage to maximize the overall member experience.
