Job Description Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self‐motivated Project Engineer who thrives in a fast‐paced environment. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of engineering tasks in the Engineering Department and will be based in Pistoia or Napoli - IT . Accountabilities Plan, monitor and coordinate engineering activities throughout the entire project lifecycle, from bid phase to final delivery, covering product design, verification and validation. Coordinate project teams across different engineering disciplines to ensure compliance with input requirements, applicable regulation and standards, and assigned budget, schedule, and quality targets. Prepare project documentation (both during bid and execution phase), including technical proposals, engineering plans, design review reports, etc. During bid phase, prepare and maintain the Product Data Sheet (PDS) to allow the Quotation Manager to collect and consolidate the industrial product cost to be provided to the Bid Manager. Ensure the submission of System Requirements Specifications (Sy RS)



for supplier engagement. Supported by the Requirements Engineer, ensure requirements management throughout the entire project lifecycle, from bid phase to final delivery, by properly maintaining the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) and verifying compliance. Act as the primary technical interface with the customer, ensuring the collection and delivery of project documentation (duly prepared and verified by relevant WPLs). Manage and conduct design reviews (both internal and with customers) for the assigned bid/project, under the supervision of the relevant line manager. Monitor and report project progress and performance, as well as technical risks and opportunities, sharing them with the Project Manager and promptly escalating when necessary.
