Your role and responsibilities Design, deliver, and optimize IBM Technology solutions aligned with client goals. Apply technical expertise to ensure world‐class delivery while using consultative skills: problem‐solving, hypothesis‐based methodologies, communication, and service orientation. Collaborate with clients and the IBM Technology Expert Labs team to implement innovative solutions. Engage in Agile planning and execution: installing, provisioning assets, testing, migrations, and day‐two operations. Leverage self‐motivation, curiosity, and initiative to navigate data and people to find solutions.
Communicate and collaborate across client, partner, and IBM teams. Requirements & Skills High School Diploma or GED. General IT basics: understanding of computers, operating systems, files, folders, simple commands, basic networking. Awareness of IBM Z/mainframe and operating system basics, including z/OS concepts. Programming and logic fundamentals; exposure to at least one programming or scripting language such as COBOL , Java , Python , or similar. Basic data and database knowledge; familiarity with SQL or databases is a plus. Introductory Linux or command‐line environments; curiosity about Linux on IBM Z. Support and operations mindset: ability to follow procedures, attention to detail, system stability. Security awareness: passwords, access rights, user roles, and adherence to security rules. Documentation and communication: read technical documentation, write simple notes, basic English skills.
