We are looking for a Cloud Data Migration Architect for a 3-month contract with the potential for an extension. This is a hybrid role based in the EU; while it is mostly remote, the candidate will be required to travel within the EU region approximately once or twice every two months. Project Details: - Start Date / Duration: Immediate, 3 months (possible extension) - Location: EU (Hybrid) - Language Requirements: Fluent English is required; Italian is strongly preferred. Required Skills and Experience: - Cloud & Big Data Architecture: Extensive experience as a GCP Data Architect, specifically leading large-scale migrations to Big Query. - Database Expertise: Deep expertise in legacy environments, specifically Teradata (required). Oracle/Exadata experience is preferred. - Migration Specialization: Proven track record in Cloud Database, Data Lake, and end-to-end data migration strategies. - Technical Ecosystem: Hands-on experience with Databricks and Data Proc, and support for Data Streaming SIG initiatives. - Development & SQL: Proficiency in Java or Python and advanced SQL tuning for complex workload optimization.
