About the Role

Join Palermo — one of Melbourne's leading Argentinian steakhouses — as a Casual Kitchen Hand. Located in the heart of the CBD, Palermo is renowned for premium produce, wood-fired cooking and exceptional hospitality. This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit kitchen team and build your culinary career in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Reporting to a Chef de Partie, you'll receive dedicated monthly appraisals,



genuine professional support and ongoing opportunities to develop your skills while helping deliver exceptional dining experiences.

In the Kitchen Hand role, your day-to-day will involve:

Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen at all times

Washing dishes, cookware and kitchen equipment efficiently during service

Assisting chefs with basic food preparation and kitchen tasks as required

Receiving, storing and rotating stock in accordance with food safety standards

Supporting the kitchen team to ensure smooth, efficient service

Following workplace health, safety and food hygiene procedures at all times

Our successful candidate will have:

Previous kitchen hand experience in a commercial kitchen (preferred but not essential)

A strong work ethic and willingness to learn

The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
