Galileo is a fast-growing renewable energy IPP, investor and operator, currently in the very dynamic start-up phase. Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over 16 GW of solar PV, onshore wind, offshore wind and storage projects across 10 markets in Europe.
We are looking for our new Senior PV Engineer, who will be critical in ensuring the technical robustness and execution
efficiency of our Italian and European solar PV power plants from development through to
the start of commercial operations. They’ll be dedicated to the effective
delivery of engineering workstreams required to realize PV projects, both
stand-alone and hybrid projects (PV + BESS). This person will be based in Milan (with
the possibility of hybrid remote working), reporting to the Technical Director.
What you’ll
do:
- Provide the engineering expertise needed to
guide and support development, construction, operations, and
financing/divestment of solar PV projects across various European countries
(primarily in Italy).
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility
studies,
preliminary layout design and optimization, and risk analyses
throughout the project lifecycle to support project development and execution;
monitor project progress, identifying potential issues and developing
mitigation strategies.
- Focus on post-permitting activities:
- provide technical input during
pre-construction planning and risk assessment; support or lead technical site
assessments and constructability reviews;
- provide technical support to procurement,
including specifications and scope of work documents for EPC tender processes,
bid evaluation, contract negotiation, and equipment recommendations and
selection;
- review and validate executive engineering
design to ensure alignment with project goals, grid codes, and permitting
conditions; conduct gap analyses between permitting documentation and
construction-level design;
