Payl_2026To strengthen our Procurement team, we are looking for a Procurement / Subcontractor Manager who will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of key subcontracted equipment and subsystems in our projects.Job location Milano, Roma and Torino.Your TasksAct as the main interface with suppliers, from bid phase to final delivery, managing and maintaining the relationship with subcontractors as main point of contactManage the full subcontracting process: RFQs, supplier selection, contract negotiation, purchase orders, expediting, delivery, and acceptanceSubcontractors Sourcing and IdentificationRFI/RFP Preparation and Coordination (including ESA Best Practices process)Writing the Statement of Work and coordinating the preparation of the relevant data packages (e.g.
Specification, general supporting docs, etc...) of the items to be procuredSupporting the contract officer in the contract preparation for what concerns the programmatic partLeading and coordinating the subcontractors' proposals evaluation based on defined selection criteriaLeading and coordinating the Supplier Activities and Contract Negotiation following the project manager guidelines and targetsEnsure on-time, on-cost and on-quality delivery of critical equipment and subsystemsWork closely with Engineering, MAIT,
and Quality to monitor performance and resolve technical or contractual issuesIdentification and proposal of cost reduction and improvement opportunitiesIdentification and management of Subcontractor project risksPreparation and coordination, as chairman, of meetings, reviews and workshopsParallel coordination of the procurement activities for multi-projectsContract change management and negotiationContribute to supplier/subcontractors' evaluation, performance monitoring, and lessons learnedQualificationsMaster's degree (MSc) in Aerospace, Electronics, Telecommunications, Management, Mechanical or comparable qualifications3–5 years' experience in procurement, subcontracting or project supply chain, ideally in the space, aerospace, or defence sectorStrong knowledge of contract management and negotiationFamiliarity with ESA/ECSS and/or MIL-STD standards, Export Control regulations and experience of consulting for engineering, testing, product assurance and space project management is a plusFluent in English; other European languages are a plusAvailability to travel to suppliers in Europe and abroadKey SkillsProject & contract management mindsetAbility to manage complex supplier relationshipsAnalytical thinking and problem-solving attitudeTeam player with strong communication and negotiation skillsResilient and result-oriented, able to work under tight deadlines. xrdztoy The gross annual remuneration package will be determined based on the degree of alignment between the candidate's profile and the requirements of the role, as well as the level of professional experience acquired.
