My client, is a global airfreight carrier with its headquarters in Milan Malpensa, Italy. Their fleet consists of fuel-efficient and modern B777F. They are looking for a:
Role: Pricing and Capacity Analyst
Location: Milan Malpensa (VA)
Contract: permanent position This pivotal role will support the optimization of our client's cargo network by driving pricing strategies, managing capacity allocations, and delivering actionable insights that enhance commercial performance and operational efficiency. **Responsibilities**: - Monitor and update the status of bookings on flights, steering Sales and CS teams of necessary action, to maximize the network margins;
- Monitor bookings for special and niche cargo and ensure timely coordination on space and schedule availability;
- Coordinate space availability requests sent by Commercial Teams;
- Act as a guide to spot desk team on tactical price points to push incremental flows;
- Setting pricing guidelines for the network (Targets & Entry Points);
- Set strategy and coordinate the seasonal rate review;
- Cost Monitoring in transportation of cargo, ensuring all rates are covering variable costs;
- Coordinate capacity allocations between different stations, monitor commercial performance on the agreed set of KPIs;
- Resolve internal conflicts over capacity allocations & prioritization of bookings;
- Analyze external market conditions (demand and supply dynamics, trends, industry benchmark) and correlate with internal performance results, suggesting necessary action;
- Analyze historical performance, verify the accuracy of forecasts, identify issues and suggest improvement;
- Monitor Allotment Performance and suggest adjustments, if needed, to Commercial Teams;
- Coordinate Seasonal RFQs and Freight Forwarder Tenders; Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum of 2-4 years of job
- related experience;
- Previous experience in Cargo Pricing or in any other Cargo Commercial Department;
- Strong analytical skills and advanced problem-solving skills;
- Good understanding of Cargo Operational and Commercial Processes;
- Decision-making, result oriented, able to work under pressure and effectively resolve conflict situations;
- Good skills in data analysis and visualization (Excel, Power BI), ability to read and accurately interpret data, draw conclusions, and present suggestions;
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment, respecting cultural differences and having a developed ethics business sense.
