Role Description This full-time Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist role is based in Turin and structured as a hybrid position, combining on-site collaboration with flexible work-from-home arrangements. The GIS Specialist will collect, process, and manage geospatial data from multiple sources to support mapping, analysis, and reporting activities. Daily tasks include creating and updating maps, maintaining GIS databases, performing spatial analyses, and ensuring data accuracy and consistency across projects.

The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to translate project requirements into effective geospatial solutions and visualizations.



The GIS Specialist will also document workflows, support data quality standards, and contribute to continuous improvement of GIS tools and processes.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex spatial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software and tools, including the ability to design and manage GIS workflows.
- Experience with data management practices, including organizing, cleaning, and maintaining geospatial datasets.
- Knowledge of geospatial data formats and structures, and familiarity with coordinate systems and projections.
- Ability to create, update, and optimize maps for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, geomatics, environmental science, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience with spatial analysis, database systems (e.g., SQL), and basic scripting or automation (e.g., Python) is beneficial.
- Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
- Prior experience in urban planning, infrastructure, or environmental projects is an asset.
