Powerlys serves operators in the 5–50 MW range who need robust, data-driven tools without building an in-house quantitative team. The organization offers a modern, analytical environment for professionals interested in energy markets and advanced dispatch optimization.

Role Description The Country Advisor – Market Development [Italy] role is a remote contract position focused on expanding Powerlys’ presence and product relevance in the Italian energy market. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing Italy power market structures, regulations, and BRP/renewable operator needs, and translating these insights into actionable market entry and growth strategies.

The Country

Advisor will conduct market research on potential customers and partners, assess competitive offerings, and identify opportunities for product localization and service differentiation. The role involves collaborating with internal teams to refine product positioning, advising on pricing and go-to-market approaches, and supporting communication materials tailored to Italian stakeholders.



The advisor will also provide ongoing feedback on regulatory developments and market trends to ensure Powerlys’ dispatch solutions remain aligned with Italy’s evolving energy landscape.

Qualifications Market Analysis & Research: Strong Market Analysis and Market Research skills to understand Italian energy market dynamics and identify relevant customer segments.

Analytical Capability: Robust Analytical Skills to interpret complex market data, regulations, and financial impacts on BRP and renewable operators.

Communication: Effective Communication skills to convey insights clearly to internal teams and external stakeholders in both written and verbal formats.

Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of Finance principles relevant to energy trading, portfolio optimization, and investment decisions.

Market Expertise: Experience or familiarity with European power markets, particularly Italy, including BRP operations, dispatch mechanisms, and renewable asset management.

Autonomy: Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and deliver clear, well-structured recommendations.

Languages: Professional proficiency in English; Italian language skills are essential/highly beneficial.

Background: Background in economics, energy markets, engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with prior advisory or consulting experience.
