Job Overview: The Area Manager Construction (Ons Con) is tasked with the development planning and executing construction of an area of the LNG facility.The role requires multi-disciplinary expertise and the ability to understand the industry to achieve financial and operational objectives.

The Senior Manager

Construction (Ons Con) manages multiple related teams, sets their organizational priorities, and allocates the appropriate resources. They will be required to manage and coordinate multiple contractors operating within their area of responsibility They must be able to identify and resolve a range of complex technical, operational, and organizational problems.

Essential Qualifications and Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent on-the-job experience Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in industrial construction projects with knowledge of Construction PlanningPrior experience on a construction site,



involved with work planning activities including a high level of knowledge and experience with the implementation of detailed work planning processes and procedures Knowledge of AWP as a project management methodology and familiarity with all phases of a project lifecycleStrong communication and presentation skills, ability to convey complex conceptsAdvanced MS Office skills, specifically with Excel and AccessImplementation and Management of MDR procedures and standardsExperience in leadership positions and ability to influence others at a professional levelAdvanced understanding of construction sequencing and construction techniquesExcellent attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines, troubleshoot, and resolve issuesEnergetic with a positive and enthusiastic disposition, possessing a can-do attitudeRespected for uncompromising integrity, work ethic, and professionalismUnderstand organizational structures for all roles that coincide with Work Face Planning Should clearly understand contract requirements Key Task and Responsibilities:



Lead the team to deliver a successful project Responsible for planning and execution of the construction plan at the job site including all construction activities and changes to the plan as required and to meet schedule and cost goals of the project Responsible for formulating a competent construction execution planResponsible for safety, quality, client interface, construction operations, cost, and schedule, which includes the major risk component – labor productivity Takes the lead as front-line business managerActively participate in the development of a construction HSSE culture that makes safety and environmental awareness a natural part of the jobImplement the MobilizationProvide constructability input during designDevelop a construction organizational plan commensurate with the requirements of the ProjectDocuments and sells the Project Execution Plan to ManagementVisit sites for pending projects and evaluate site conditions and extraordinary requirementsEnsure each direct report has a full understanding of the Project Execution Plan and other information pertinent to construction execution,Accountable for the functional direction, coordination, and performance of all on-site construction operations and support departments including field management, quality, safety, material management, procurement, construction engineering, human resources, business services, industrial relations, and facility turnoverMaintain plan alignment by continuously assessing the evolving project and updating the Plan, and communicating and reinforcing construction requirements within the project teamCoordinate and interface with others as required to execute the construction plan and assure that labor, equipment, and materials are available to support the construction effortAssure that construction work is performed within the budget and schedule constraints of the project Assure accuracy of field estimates and schedulesResolve problems Assures construction procedures are implemented
