We are building better connections and shaping networks of the future.Competenze, Esperienza, Qualifiche: se possiede i requisiti giusti per questa possibilità, si candidi oggi stesso.For more than 40 years, we’ve been leaders in innovating the network infrastructure of the future.Developments such as the Internet of Things, seamless connectivity and 5G introduce new requirements and demand creative thinking.With our unmatched expertise in copper, fiber and wireless infrastructure, our global clients rely on us to outperform today and be ready for the needs of tomorrow.As a Staff Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting, from a quality perspective, new product development projects for Data Center Fiber product portfolio under the Connectivity and Cable Solutions (CCS) business segment.You will work closely with the quality, engineering, operations, product line management, and project management departments to have a successful product launch onto a manufacturing site.Duties & ResposibilitiesActive participation in new product development, sustaining, investigation and cost reduction projects assigned, overseeing adherence to the documented PDP procedures.Complete quality deliverables (control plan, packaged product review and retrospective review) for assigned new product development projects in a timely manner.Active involvement on pre-production runs collaborating with NPI team to identify design and process improvements.Conduct packaged product reviews for onsite new product launches.Conduct random process audits on initial production orders of new product launches.Support the resolution of lab testing nonconformances for assigned projects, using the 5 whys root cause analysis technique.
Participate in D and PFMEAs for assigned projects, monitor their completeness, and use of proper ratings.Collaborate with site NPI and Operations Quality teams to identify areas to improve design for manufacturability, introduce poke yoke and other solutions to address repetitive manufacturing quality issues.Lead the resolution of design related customer or internal complaints to determine proper root cause and corrective/preventive actions.Support the Quality Monitoring Program, including the review of test plans, test reports and resolution of identified nonconformances with the involved manufacturing sites.Analyze local product/process deviations to identify repetitive issues related to the product design, and drive improvements to reduce the number of deviations.Support special quality projects or initiatives as needed.Skills RequiredInclude demonstrated competencies and physical, mental, & interpersonal skills.Must have a good understanding of quality concepts, problem solving and process improvement techniques, root cause analysis, 8D methodology, FMEAs, control plans, SPC, CpK, DOEs, poke yoke, PPAPs, FAIRs. Knowledge and experience in fiber products and termination process, highly preferred. Experience in new product introduction and engineering changes, preferred. Familiar with molding processes is a plus.Possess a high-energy level, strong work ethic and desire to learn.Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, work independently, and meet deadlines.Ability to work collaboratively and independently with individuals at all levels of the organization.Show innovation through unique ideas and is self-driven.Is proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Is familiar in Minitab, preferred. xysqume English (writing and speaking), required.
