A qualified Security Analyst 1 will have:
3+ years of relevant professional hands on experience in IT help desk or network/systemsroles, having then moved into more of a security role.
Strong understanding of how network security, email and web traffic flow, along with security controls
Knowledge of security fundamentals, firewalls, log collection, and incident investigation
Ability to interpret security alerts and communicate technical concepts clearly
Main responsibilities:
Monitor alerts generated by security systems and determine their validity
Conduct investigations into security incidents, leveraging operational knowledge
Assist in onboarding new clients by configuring firewalls and collecting logs
Communicate technical findings to internal teams and possibly clients

Support daily security operations within a 24/7 environment
Collaborate with the security team to uphold standard procedures and incident management
Engage in cross-training opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
