We reimagine the possible across the nuclear industry every day. /p h3About the role: /h3 pAs a bPrincipal Supplier Quality Engineer /b you will perform supplier quality activities including audits/assessments, surveys, inspections, oversight, and verification at Westinghouse supplier facilities. You will be part of the APX Supplier Quality Team with a specific focus on suppliers providing ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel (BPV) Code materials and components for the AP1000 Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS). /p pYou will report to the bSenior Manager, Supplier Quality NSSS /b. This is a bhybrid position /b based in Monfalcone, Italy, requiring onsite presence three days per week. bRelocation assistance is provided for eligible candidates. /b /p pbApplicants based in European Union countries are encouraged to apply. /b /p h3Key Responsibilities: /h3 ul liDevelop and implement supplier surveillance and oversight plans to ensure compliance with quality and technical standards. /li liResolve supplier quality issues which adversely impact product quality. /li liPerform independent assessments and oversight to confirm that suppliers have established and implemented an effective quality management system. This system must ensure that nuclear safety-related and/or ASME BPV Code Section III materials, and components meet all quality, regulatory, and customer requirements specified in purchasing documents. /li liMonitor progress to achieve established quality goals within budgetary and schedule constraints. /li liCreate certification documents,



which identify the procurement requirements met by the purchased material or equipment, such as codes, standards, and other specifications imposed by Westinghouse Customers, for major equipment and components. /li liLead assessments of the global supply base to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, codes and standards. /li liEvaluate supplier quality plans and processes to verify compliance with quality and technical requirements defined by Westinghouse Engineering. /li liApply advanced quality control techniques and statistical methods for collection of deficiency information to identify failure causes and trends, rate performance and measure the effectiveness of supplier QA programs, and internal processes. /li liWrite detailed segments of QA plans/programs according to current U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Westinghouse and customer QA standards for nuclear and non-nuclear facilities. /li liImplement policies on scope and retention requirements of quality assurance documentation. /li /ul h3Qualifications: /h3 ul liA bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline /li li5+ years of experience as a Supplier Quality Professional or similar role is required. /li liNQA-1 Certified Lead Auditor experience is desirable. /li liProficiency in using several inspection tools like calipers, gauges, micrometers, and specialized testing equipment (IMTE) is desirable. /li liCompetency with generating, reviewing, approving, and archiving electronic quality documents and records.



/li liAudit and supplier source surveillance experience is required.Experience operating within a formal quality management system (for example ISO 9001, AS9100, ASME NQA-1) is required /li liValid passport (or ability to obtain one) is required, as is ability to travel internationally /li libUp to 40 to 50% travel per month is required to supplier sites /b /li /ul pWe are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
