ppEuropean Tech Recruit are working closely with a market leading 3D scanning company, based in Bressanone, who are looking for a talented b3D Computer Vision Engineer /b to join their team.
/ppIn this role you will join a company that leverage state-of-the-art Computer Vision and Machine Learning algorithms to scan high quality, relightable 3D models of objects and products at scale.
/ppYou will work on multi-camera calibration, feature-based reconstruction, and geometric optimization.
Combining classical techniques with modern learned approaches to achieve sub-millimeter accuracy at production scale.
/ppResponsibilities as b3D Computer Vision Engineer /b: /pulliDevelop and optimize geometric reconstruction modules: multi-camera calibration, feature extraction and matching, structure-from-motion.
/liliImplement and tune optimization techniques (bundle adjustment, surface fitting, mesh refinement) for high-precision geometry.
/liliIntegrate learned components—feature descriptors, depth priors, outlier rejection—into classical pipelines.
/liliDevelop capture and calibration strategies that support downstream appearance and material reconstruction.
/liliBuild robust point cloud and mesh processing workflows for cleaning, filtering, and topology repair.
/liliWrite performant, maintainable code that scales across our production infrastructure.
/liliWork with ML engineers, rendering specialists, and system developers to bridge classical and neural approaches.
/liliEngage with enterprise clients to understand accuracy and performance requirements.
/liliContribute to architectural decisions for scalable 3D processing.
/li /ulpRequirements: /pulliStrong foundation in 3D vision and geometric computing, gained through a PhD or Master's degree combined with 3+ years of industry experience.
/liliStrong background in multi-view geometry: camera models, epipolar geometry, bundle adjustment.
/liliExperience with SfM/SLAM pipelines or structured light systems.
/liliProficiency in C++ and Python; comfort with performance-critical code.
/liliFamiliarity with point cloud and mesh processing (Open3D, PCL, CGAL, or similar).
/liliExperience with learned feature descriptors or neural depth estimation.
/liliFamiliarity with differentiable optimization.
/liliUnderstanding of appearance capture, light calibration, or inverse rendering fundamentals.
/liliBackground in deformable geometry or non-rigid reconstruction.
/liliExperience with camera/projector calibration or photogrammetry pipelines.
/liliFamiliarity with CUDA or GPU-accelerated geometry processing.
/liliContributions to open-source 3D vision projects.
