Software Engineer Io T/Edge – SMART CITY & EDGE AI DEVELOPMENT (M/F) Intro
Wave LAB is building the distributed neural network for tomorrow's smart cities by transforming EV charging stations into intelligent, multi?service urban nodes.
Our platform combines edge AI, cloud orchestration, and modular software to enable real?time interaction between charging stations, vehicles, people, and urban infrastructure.
We unlock the hidden potential of charging stations for dynamic data collection, personalized digital services, local advertising, predictive maintenance, and full city system integration.
Wave LAB operates in Bolzano, Italy, and across Europe, partnering with charging operators, cities, OEMs, service providers, and infrastructure partners.
You'll be part of a small, fast?moving team where your code runs on real devices in real cities.
You'll write, test and deploy edge?based features that power the next generation of EV infrastructure.
Tasks
Develop embedded software modules on Linux for Io T/Edge devices.
Integrate standard protocols (OCPP, ISO *****) and cloud systems.
Support architectural design and technical roadmap definition.
Contribute to testing, validation, and technical documentation.
Requirements
Proven experience in Io T/Edge software development.
Solid knowledge of embedded Linux and programming languages (Python and/or C++).
Familiarity with communication protocols (OCPP or similar).
Proactive, self?driven, and motivated to build in a startup environment.
