ph3Position Overview /h3pSr Structural Engineer – Europe Project Engineering Team (remote, based in Italy) /ppWork directly with key accounts throughout Europe to manage day?to?day issues on utility?scale PV projects from development to construction support.
Provide overall structural engineering leadership, including wind load calculations, steel design and component sizing, foundation sizing, and all related engineering decisions to support project quoting and calculation packages.
/ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliProduce civil and structural design documentation, including drawings and calculations.
/liliAct as the signing engineer for structural projects in Italy, certifying calculations and reports according to national regulations.
/liliManage administrative and technical engineering documentation workflows with local authorities, including submission, approval processes, and compliance tracking with the Genio Civile.
/liliLead and mentor team members, ensuring high technical standards, professional development, and workload balance.
/liliAssist in the project development phase by reviewing site information, calculations, and cost estimation.
/liliPrepare wind, seismic, foundation, and other structural calculations.
/liliProvide construction support, manage RFIs, submittals, and technical calculation packages.
/liliAssist in the development of Nextpower products, gaining full understanding of the product catalog.
/liliCoordinate with Structural/Civil/Geotechnical Engineers in other regions to create, maintain, and update structural and civil standards, specifications,



templates, and design tools.
/liliManage schedules and review external consultants' works and deliverables to ensure alignment with project timelines and technical requirements.
/liliAssist in expanding the next structural sections and integration into standard Nextpower systems.
/liliRepresent Nextpower in technical forums: author white papers, present at conferences, and maintain knowledge of current trends and advancements.
/li /ulh3Required Skills / Experience /h3ullibEducation: /b BS or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
/lilibProfessional Certification (Mandatory): /b Chartered or licensed professional engineer in Italy (Abilitazione all'esercizio della professione / Iscrizione all'Ordine degli Ingegneri) with full legal authority to sign off on structural projects.
/lilibRegulatory Expertise (Mandatory): /b Proven track record and direct experience in structural document management and file processing with the Genio Civile; deep understanding of Italian NTC and regional authorization procedures.
/lilibExperience: /b Minimum 5 years of structural engineering work in EPC, renewable energy,



or infrastructure sectors.
/lilibLeadership: /b Proven leadership experience, including mentoring or managing engineering teams.
/lilibSoftware Proficiency: /b MS Office, AutoCAD, LPile, and other structural analysis software (RISA, STAAD, or equivalent).
/lilibStandards Codes: /b Thorough knowledge of Italian NTC, Eurocodes, ASCE, AISC, AISI, and IBC.
/lilibTechnical Expertise: /b Significant experience in structural analysis and design for dead, live, snow, wind, and seismic loads; design of steel and concrete structures; development of construction documents.
/lilibSoft Skills: /b Excellent communication, organizational skills; ability to lead in a cross?functional, multicultural environment.
/lilibLanguages: /b Proficient in English and Italian; Spanish a plus.
/lilibTravel: /b Willing to travel occasionally for site investigations, field support, or meetings with local authorities.
/lilibPreferred: /b Programming skills in VB and Python; experience in solar tracker foundation and structural design and optimization; familiarity with corrosion mechanisms and mitigation; previous experience in a matrixed, global organization.
