ph3Careers /h3pSoftware Engineer (Mid-Level) – AI Systems /ppEngineering Hybrid / Europe / Italy Full-time /ppLocation: Remote (EU preferred) Experience: 2–5 years /ph3About Us /h3pDaidalos is a deep-tech company developing a proprietary AI accelerator IP designed for efficient and deterministic AI execution. /ppWe are working at the intersection of AI, hardware design, and embedded systems, building architectures that go beyond traditional GPU-based approaches. /ph3The role /h3pThis role goes beyond traditional software engineering. /ppYou will work on mapping AI models onto custom hardware, optimizing execution, and contributing directly to hardware-software co-design. /ppWe are not looking for someone who simply uses frameworks — we are looking for someone who wants to understand how they work under the hood and improve them. /ph3What you will work on /h3ulliOptimization and deployment of AI models (PyTorch / ONNX) on custom architectures /liliDevelopment in C++ / C / Python with strong focus on performance /liliHardware-software co-design with FPGA-based systems /liliOptimization under real-world constraints (memory, latency, throughput) /liliContribution to runtime and execution pipelines /li /ulh3Requirements /h3ulli2–5 years of experience in software engineering /liliStrong skills in C++ and/or Python /liliExperience with performance-critical code /liliUnderstanding of system-level behavior (memory, compute, latency)
