Product Development Lead
Lead the product development team, drive innovation, and ensure the successful delivery of products that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
Strategic Product Development Vision
Develop and communicate a clear product development strategy in alignment with the company’s overall business objectives. Lead a cross‑functional team, including R&D;, Quality Control, designers, and product managers, to execute the product development plan.
Market Analysis
- Remain informed about industry trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for new product development.
- Conduct market research and consumer surveys to gather insights for product ideation.
Product Development
- Generate creative product ideas and concepts that resonate with target consumers.
- Collaborate with design and R&D; teams to refine concepts and create product prototypes.
- Oversee the formulation and testing of beauty products, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
- Work closely with regulatory affairs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Implement rigorous quality control processes to ensure product consistency and safety.
- Address any product quality issues promptly and effectively.
Project Management
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet product launch deadlines.
- Monitor and track progress,
addressing any issues or delays proactively.
Supplier Management
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors for formulations and packaging.
- Negotiate contracts and establish strong relationships with key partners.
Team Development
- Train, recruit and mentor team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Set clear performance objectives and provide regular feedback and evaluations.
Profilo del Candidato
- Relevant experience in Beauty.
- B2B is a plus.
- Proven experience (8 years) in beauty product development, including a track record of successfully launching products in the cosmetics industry, preferably in B2B cosmetic market.
- Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.
- Strong understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and regulatory requirements in the beauty industry.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and using insights to drive decisions.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Team management experience.
- Fluent in Italian and English is mandatory; French is a plus.
