As the Technical Due Diligence (TDD) Manager, you will serve as the "gatekeeper" of technical quality for our utility-scale renewable energy projects. You are responsible for ensuring every project in our pipeline is technically sound, fully investor-ready, and supported by robust documentation. Your mission is to eliminate "technical surprises" by identifying risks early and ensuring all permits, designs, and contracts meet the highest bankability standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Screening: Conduct initial technical screenings of new mandates, evaluating grid interconnection, land securement, and permits to identify "red flag" issues.
- Investor Readiness: Perform structured gap analyses on technical documents, including energy yield studies, environmental assessments, and EPC contracts.
- Vendor Due Diligence (VDD): Coordinate third-party experts and compile authoritative Technical Due Diligence Reports to expedite investor reviews.
- Investor Q&A;: Serve as the primary technical contact for investors,
managing the Q&A; log and resolving all technical queries through financial close.
- Risk & Data Management: Maintain the technical data room and collaborate with risk specialists to formulate mitigation strategies for material project risks.
Requirements
- Experience: 10 - 15 years in renewable energy development, technical advisory, or project finance due diligence.
- Market Expertise: Deep knowledge of the European market, specifically the Italian and German bankability criteria, local grid codes, and permitting standards.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in utility-scale solar, wind, or storage, including the ability to verify energy simulation outputs and engineering drawings.
- Education: An engineering degree (Electrical or Mechanical) is highly preferred.
- Communication: Fluent in English; proficiency in other European languages is an advantage
