Responsibilities Acting as the primary point of contact between the business, the bonded warehouse operator, the customs broker and internal stakeholders.
Overseeing inbound and outbound operations within the bonded warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and company policies.
Monitoring customs broker and logistics provider performance through defined KPIs, service reviews and governance meetings.
Managing the governance of the overall bonded warehouse process, including customs accounting, inventory reconciliation, compliance monitoring, monthly reporting and quarterly business reviews.
Establishing and maintaining an internal control framework to verify that the bonded warehouse and customs broker operate in compliance with applicable customs regulations, internal procedures and contractual requirements.
Performing periodic reviews and reconciliations between customs records, warehouse inventory and ERP transactions to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
Coordinating corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives resulting from audits, inspections, compliance reviews or operational findings.
Managing customs broker billing verification and ensuring alignment between contracted services and invoiced activities.
Supporting customs audits, inspections and interactions with customs authorities, providing documentation, reporting and process expertise as required.
Partnering with Logistics, Customs and Trade Compliance teams to ensure proper governance of customs duties, guarantees, special customs regimes and regulatory obligations.
Driving process standardization, transparency and compliance across bonded warehouse operations while facilitating communication between internal stakeholders and external service providers.
