This position is in OVS. We are looking for a mid‐level senior Legal Counsel Commercial Contracts to join our Legal Department, reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel Commercial Contracts. This role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of a fast‐paced, international retail business, supporting a wide range of commercial operations. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of post‐qualification experience gained at a primary law firm, with a solid focus on drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements and a logical mindset. You will act as a trusted business partner, providing clear, practical, and timely legal support while balancing legal risk and business objectives.
Contract Management
Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of commercial contracts, including:
Franchise and licensing agreements
Service agreements
IT, software licensing, SaaS, and digital service agreements
Outsourcing, facility management, and utilities contracts
Legal Advisory
Provide clear, business‐oriented advice to internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance of contracts with applicable laws, company policies, and best practices.
Support management in strategic decisions relating to partnerships, procurement, and retail operations.
Advise on contract liabilities and manage related litigation matters.
Cross‐Functional Support
Contribute proactively to business discussions, understanding commercial drivers and aligning legal advice accordingly.
Qualifications & Experience
Law degree with excellent academic credentials and bar qualification is essential.
At least 5 years of legal experience at a top tier law firm, with extensive exposure to contract law and commercial agreements is a must.
Additional knowledge of company law and extraordinary corporate operations is a plus.
Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
Proven track record of drafting and negotiating complex contracts.
