If you have experience working within Contract Management with several projects in portfolio and are looking for an international role based in Rome, Italy, then this position is for you! **Digital Solutions & Development > Vestas Development > Project Development Italy** Vestas Development is the early-stage project arm of Vestas Wind Systems, dedicated to identifying, assessing and preparing wind farm sites for successful pre-construction. Our team delivers technical expertise in site feasibility, logistics planning, design compliance, cost validation and permitting, collaborating with internal and external partners across the Mediterranean and beyond to ensure viable, sustainable energy projects. **Responsibilities**
- Conduct desktop and on-site assessments of site accessibility, orography, access roads and slopes during origination and pre-feasibility phases
- Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, project managers and environmental specialists to evaluate project viability
- Interface with transport contractors to perform road surveys and logistics assessments from delivery points to wind farm sites
- Evaluate road adjustments, intervention works and constraints (bearing capacity, bridges, tunnels, regulations)
- Support estimation of required transport interventions and recommend optimal methodologies
- Review wind farm designs for compliance with standards for crane pads, access roads, foundations, crossings, earthworks and temporary works
- Verify adherence to local restrictions and technical specifications
- Verify bills of quantities and cost evaluations from subcontractors (excavation, transport, materials, site preparation, foundations)
- Ensure accurate cost data is included in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) packages
- Participate in public consultations as part of the permitting process
- Inspect and verify feasibility of sites, logistics areas, access roads, landfalls, storage yards and harbors for transport and assembly
- Follow up with contractors on technical documentation for Met Mast installation **Qualifications**
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
- Willingness to travel 40-50% of the time to project sites across the Mediterranean region **Competencies**
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish, with the ability to present technical information clearly
- Proactive problem-solving approach to address technical challenges in the pre-construction phase
- Thorough, detail-oriented and safety-focused mindset
- Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and drive effective action plans
