**Valmet**, a global leader in automation solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and professional **Site Project Manager**to join our Automation Business Line team within the marine sector. This role offers an opportunity to manage cutting-edge automation projects and ensure the successful deployment of Valmet’s Distributed Control Systems (Valmet DNA) in collaboration with our global customers. **Type of contract**: Permanent
**Location**: Marghera/Monfalcone, Italy **Key Responsibilities**: - Lead commissioning activities for the Valmet DNA system, ensuring seamless integration during ship construction and commissioning phases.
- Coordinate and supervise on-site activities, serving as the primary point of contact between Valmet and the client, particularly with the shipyard’s electrical workshop.
- Oversee testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution on-site while maintaining detailed and accurate reporting to internal and remote teams.
- Facilitate collaboration between Valmet teams and clients, ensuring efficient project execution and milestone achievement.
- Support system testing both at the shipyard and during sea trials. **Travel Scope**:This position requires travel (>75% of working time) to Valmet locations, customer shipyards (Monfalcone/Marghera/Sestri), and other project sites across Italy and internationally (including Poland, Finland, France, and Germany). **To succeed in this position, you will need**: - A degree in Automation Engineering or Electrical Engineering,
or a technical diploma with equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Valmet systems will be considered a plus.
- 4-7 years of experience in similar roles, preferably with on-site project management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage technical personnel on-site.
- Proficiency in Italian and English at a professional level (mandatory).
