The Core Team is the backbone of Translated's engineering organization.
We own and evolve the backend systems and orchestration layer that powers how the company operates - from internal tooling and automations to translator-facing platforms and operational workflows.As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll work across the entire stack - building the backend services and internal APIs that drive our platforms, as well as the interfaces that translators, operations teams, and colleagues use every day.
You're comfortable on both sides of the stack, and you take pride in delivering complete, polished features from database to UI.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain full stack features across backend services and frontend interfacesBuild and evolve internal tools and platforms used across the companyOwn features end-to-end,
from technical design to productionContribute to automation and orchestration systems that improve operational efficiencyParticipate in code reviews — both giving and receiving thoughtful feedbackWrite tests and take code quality seriously (without being dogmatic about it)Collaborate with teammates across engineering, product, and operationsWrite clear technical documentation that others can actually useRequirements3+ years of experience in full stack software developmentProficiency in Node.js (TypeScript and JavaScript) on the backendProficiency in React and solid fundamentals in frontend development (HTML, CSS, browser APIs)Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MySQL)Solid understanding of server-side web application architecturesComfortable working with Docker and containerized environmentsProficiency in Git and GitHub-based workflowsEnjoys owning problems end-to-end and will go out of their way to acquire whatever knowledge it takes to get the job doneExcellent communication skills - able to talk about technical topics with non-technical people clearly and without condescensionNice to HaveExperience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with Docker Swarm or KubernetesExperience with AWS services (especially S3, Lambda, SQS, EC2)Knowledge of Test Driven Development principlesExperience with the Koa web frameworkLinux shell scripting and Unix system administrationHeadquartersTranslated is hosted at Pi Campus, a working environment immersed in nature where 5 luxury villas in Rome (Italy)
