Mechanical Design Engineer (CAD)

Reports to: Mechanical team leader
Job purpose: Design of the antenna’s structure for space applications
Location: MetaSensing, Via Aniene 2, 20151, Milan, Italy
Employment condition: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Candidate must be eligible to work in the EU.

Job Duties:
Mechanical design of the payload structure on a CAD software (Siemens NX)
Mechanical/Thermal system design and integration

Required skills and qualifications:
Candidate must be eligible to work in the EU.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the field, ideally 5 years
Strong knowledge in CAD design
Knowledge in manufacturing of metallic parts standards and 2D drawings standards
Knowledge of solid mechanics




Understanding of the design process (from concept through to delivery and in-service
support)
Good knowledge of the English language for the working environment
Good communication and team-working skills

Desired Skills / Qualifications
Experience with Siemens NX (harness design is a plus)
Knowledge about space thermo-mechanical design (composite materials is a plus)
Ability to communicate clearly
Ability to follow a fast-paced design scenario
Ability to interact with manufacturers for the production phases
