The ideal candidate, reporting to Managing Director, has at least 3-5 years of experience with EPC Contractors operating in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Generation, Waste/Water/WasteWater Treatment sectors, including but not limited to any other complex and heavy industry.
The candidate should have a solid understanding of quality control principles related to industrial, power, or chemical plants, and a strong motivation to actively contribute to the energy transition. The role oversees Quality tasks pertaining to buy-out technologies, solutions and equipment's, interacting with whole Project Execution Departments as well as Supply Chain.
Main responsibilities
- Creation, review and/or approval of Project Inspection and Test Plans, based on contractual requirement and internal standards
- Review and approval of preliminary vendor's procedures like welding book, NDE procedure, PWHT procedure, Hardness Test procedure, etc
- Review and approval of Inspection and Test Records including Final Manufacturing Record books (MRB), issuing Inspection Release Note at time
- Select, hire and Coordinate external inspectors
- Manage internal and external NCR aspects including creation, discussion and closure
- Carry out inspection activities directly (when needed)
during the manufacturing progress as well as at final stage, by performing VDI and/or attending other inspections tasks like NDE, hydrostatic test, etc
- Provide QC support to all internal/external customers, by managing correspondence and keeping a good and productive relationship
- Act proactively by anticipating potential issue, with the aim to be aligned with delivery date
- Coordinate with Expediting and Logistics Dept. securing on time, on quality delivery, ensuring as well proper sequence of items demanded by Construction SitePromote a health, safe and environmentally responsible working environment
Requirements
- Expertise in the plant engineering sector, specifically in the design and development of process technology based industrial plants
- Previous experience in QC Engineering roles withing Enginering/Manufacturing site or similar industry, or experience in QC activity in a similar field, would be preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate with colleagues and integrate technical feedback to improve overall work quality
- Availability to travel up to 40%
Location: Milan Area.
Salary range: 50.000 – 60.000
