Global Category Manager - Metal Profiles and Tubes

In this role you drive global, market-oriented procurement strategies for metal profiles and tubes, focusing on aluminium extrusion. You will define category objectives and KPIs, lead global sourcing and tender initiatives, and manage supplier relationships to align global and regional needs. You’ll analyze markets and data to guide decisions, standardize processes, and lead global procurement projects that improve performance. This is a chance to shape a strategic, cross-functional function in a renowned, family-owned global group.

- Define and execute global category strategies for metal profiles and tubes, especially aluminium extrusion
- Lead tendering and strategic sourcing projects with negotiation responsibility
- Manage contracts and supplier relationships, ensuring global requirements are implemented
- Consolidate global demand and align global strategies with regional needs




- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners
- Provide market and supplier data insights to support procurement decisions
- Standardize processes and ensure transparency across procurement activities
- Lead cross-functional global procurement projects and performance optimization initiatives
- Completed university degree in business, engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Minimum of 3 years in a strategic procurement role, preferably with metal profiles, tubes, or raw materials
- Experience managing global tenders and negotiations in an international environment
- Stakeholder management experience and working with international teams
- Strong communication and networking abilities
- Very good written and spoken German and English
- Strong negotiation, analytical thinking, and a structured approach
