Technical Sales Manager BENELUX

GFIC is recruiting for an international value added Food Ingredients Distributor working in almost 40 Countries in Europe, West Asia and Africa.

My client has a subsidiary in Belgium. The role is a B2B position not for candidates from Hotels, Restaurants or FMCG. You will work remote in Benelux after the training period. A degree in Food Technology is required. Fluency in Dutch, French and English is essential.

Mission: We connect world‑class ingredient manufacturers with food and pharmaceutical producers.

Responsibilities
- Provide solution‑oriented technical advice to customers and keep suppliers informed about market developments.
- Support product and application development with product specialists and application technologists.
- Manage and expand business with existing customers while actively developing new opportunities across the Benelux region.
- Achieve sales targets and drive projects from first contact to successful implementation.
- Work closely with customer service team to ensure smooth operational execution.




- Analyze the market and the product range of suppliers to find new potentials.
- Responsible for making market strategy, purchasing and selling of assigned product groups.
- Build close relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Visit customers, analyze their needs, create value propositions.
- Participate in production trials at the customer and implement small‑scale trials in the application kitchen.
- Project manage in close cooperation with the responsible Customer Service Manager.
- Align sales strategy for the product groups of suppliers with the help of Category Managers.

- Discover and understand customer needs and develop tailor‑made solutions.
- Conduct lab, small‑scale or industrial trials with customers.
- Follow up offers, payments, etc.
- Develop and execute sales budget and forecasts.
