Position Overview
The Electrical Project Engineer is involved with the design and layout, installation, and commissioning of can making and associated process support equipment. The role supports the design and control of specific project elements under the supervision of a Project Manager, from concept through to completion, including design, budgeting, and resourcing activities. The position holds responsibility for electrical specifications and electrical integration within the project scope,
provides project control and status reporting for small to medium scale projects, and delivers process support and technical advice to manufacturing sites within the sector. The role also directly supports Project Managers when working as part of a larger site‑based project team.
Key Responsibilities Include
Oversee assigned project activities from start to completion within areas of electrical expertise, while working flexibly as part of a multi‑disciplinary project team
Liaise with Regional Project Managers, Plant Managers, and Plant Engineers to establish full project scope or identify root causes of technical issues
Design and approve equipment layouts and generate electrical schematics using company‑standard drawing tools such as AutoCAD
Generate electrical specifications and project‑specific criteria, working in conjunction with other members of the Ball Engineering group
