We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities
Setting and maintaining the highest standard for safety and actively promoting a world‑class safety culture
The key performance metrics for a significant number of large scale Data Centres distributed across multiple AWS owned and Co‑location sites (hosted by 3rd party service providers.) by continuously driving improvements while delivering performance against said metrics
Delivering 100% uptime on all customer supporting infrastructure
Strategic planning and execution of all corrective and preventative maintenance activities on all mission‑critical infrastructure
Managing strong technical teams with responsibility for the training and/or development of others to ensure operational excellence and career development
Successful delivery of strategic projects on critical infrastructure
Successful delivery of build‑out and retrofit of facility infrastructure in existing and new regional locations
Managing vendor performance by consistently setting high standar
