As an Associate Engineering Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping how millions of users save, invest, and grow their money. Own the day-to-day management of a squad of 3-5 engineers. Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement while ensuring high team morale.
People Management & Mentorship: Actively invest in the growth of your team members through regular 1:1s, actionable feedback, performance reviews, and identifying stretch opportunities to help them advance their careers.
Translate product and business goals into a clear, predictable technical roadmap.
Optimize agile workflows, unblock your team, and ensure reliable execution of ambitious projects.
Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineering Managers to align on priorities, manage dependencies, and define shared engineering standards.
Report up and communicate clearly: Keep leadership informed on team progress, risks, and blockers, effectively translating technical complexities into business-relevant terms.
Expect challenges, collaboration, and the freedom to bring your ideas to life. While you won't be coding day-to-day, your technical background will be crucial to partner with your Senior and Staff Engineers, facilitating architectural discussions and ensuring the right technical decisions are made.
