Junior Infrastructure & Network SpecialistTrieste, Via degli Alti Forni SNCHHLA PLT Italy S.r.l.Transport/Logistics/Container HandlingDescription of the position:Junior Infrastructure & Network Technician supports the daily operation of our terminal's IT infrastructure. You will work closely with experienced colleagues to ensure the reliability of networks, end-user devices, and operational IT equipment. This is a hands-on role offering excellent learning and professional growth opportunities in a dynamic port environment.Summary of responsibilities:* Install, configure, and maintain network equipment and end-user devices.* Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.* Provide on-site technical support to office users and operational personnel.* Support industrial PCs, onboard terminals, and IT equipment installed on operational vehicles.* Assist in maintaining and improving the company's IT infrastructure.The Candidate:Education & Experience* Technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications,
or a related field.* Previous hands-on experience (including internships, academic, or personal projects) is an advantage but not essential.Technical Skills & Knowledge Required (specific skills and knowledge required for the position)* Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, switching, and routing.* Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and PC hardware.* Interest in Linux systems administration (basic Linux knowledge is a plus).* Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, networking concepts, and troubleshooting methodologies.* Familiarity with PowerShell, Bash, virtualization, or IT security principles is considered an advantage.Behavioral Competences Required* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting attitude.* Hands-on mindset with willingness to work in operational environments.* Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work effectively as part of a team.Language Requirements* Fluen
