Galileo is a fast-growing renewable energy IPP, investor and operator , currently in the very dynamic start-up phase. Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over 16 GW of solar PV, onshore wind , offshore wind and storage projects across 10 markets in Europe.
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the company’s engineering team across the development and delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects. This person will be based in our office in Milan (with the possibility of hybrid remote working) and report to the EPC Director.
What you’ll do
- Act as the EPC Director’s key technical partner, supporting strategic and operational decisions across the project portfolio.
- Oversee engineering activities throughout the full project lifecycle, from early-stage development and feasibility through procurement, construction, commissioning and operations.
- Review and approve technical studies, layouts, designs, energy-yield assessments and risk analyses, ensuring quality, consistency and compliance with applicable standards.
- Play a central role in site engineering activities for utility-scale renewable energy projects, supporting both pre-construction and construction phases, ensuring that technical design, site constraints and constructability requirements are properly integrated into project execution.
- Work closely with Development, Procurement, Construction, Investment, Legal and Asset Management teams to support project delivery, financing and divestment.
- Lead the technical aspects of tenders, bid evaluations, equipment selection and support the negotiations with EPC contractors, consultants and suppliers.
- Manage external technical advisors and monitor market, regulatory and technology developments to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Lead, manage and develop the engineering team, defining priorities, responsibilities, technical standards and ways of working.
