The successful candidate for this position will be a 1099 contractor with Music Ministry International and be responsible for the following:
1. Position: Catholic Religious Education (RE) Coordinator
2. Scope of Responsibilities.
2.1. Inside Scope.
2.1.1. Plan, coordinate, and support religious needs in a pluralistic environment.
2.1.1.1. The RE Coordinator position will encompass general programing from the Lead Faith Group Chaplain or designee coordination. Also, specific religious education programming can come from, but not limited to: Children’s Liturgy of the Word, Sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, the Confirmation program for the youth, Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC), Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA), and etc., according to particular creeds of each chaplain endorsement.
2.2. Outside Scope.
2.2.1. A non-personal services contract to support chapel religious education services. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein.
Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to the Government.
3. Education and Experience.
3.1 RE Coordinators must:
3.1.1. All RE coordinators have the ability to work unsupervised in a fluid and sometimes stressful environment with a diverse group of people that includes, but is not limited to, volunteers, chapel staff, and those of other faith communities; coordinators should possess an ability to maintain healthy, functional interpersonal relationships with co-workers and parishioners.
3.1.2. Be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English in order to perform all responsibilities outlined within the PWS.
3.1.3. Professional: Must be able to efficiently organize and manage diverse program elements.
3.1.4. Budget: Must understand the basics of planning, developing, and executing a budget.
