Senior Civil Design Engineer – Baker Hughes Apply for PME Senior Civil Design Engineer (M/F/D) in Florence (Firenze). The role focuses on designing structural and civil systems for industrial plants and modular energy solutions, and Visa sponsorship is available.
Responsibilities Design, analyze, and verify structural systems to ensure integrity, safety, and compliance with relevant standards.
Develop engineering solutions for steel modules, platforms, structural steel frameworks, concrete foundations, and general civil works.
Create and maintain accurate design documentation, including engineering specifications, bills of materials, and design change requests.
Conduct design reviews and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance and reliability of construction plant equipment.
Interface directly with customers to understand technical requirements, present design solutions, and support project execution.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance.




Participate in product development programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing engineers and clients during the erection/plant installation phase, addressing design‑related inquiries and resolving issues.
Collaborate with Quality teams to develop and implement testing and inspection procedures that ensure compliance with quality standards.
Define and propose procedures and tool customizations aimed at improving design standardization, reducing cost and lead time, and implementing internal standards and knowledge.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience as a Civil Design Engineer in complex Oil & Gas/Industrial/Energy plant solutions, preferably with EPC companies.
Expertise with engineering tools for civil and structural design (e.g., SAP2000, Staad, Midas, Ansys, IdeaStatica).
Knowledge of 3D plant mode
