The Opportunity Hitachi Energy's Transport, Trade & Logistics (TTL) organization is looking for a Global Sustainability Manager to drive sustainability across global transport, logistics, and packaging operations in alignment with ESG frameworks. This role plays a key part in reducing environmental impact, strengthening regulatory compliance, and accelerating progress toward a sustainable energy future. You will lead initiatives to decarbonize transportation, optimize resources, and embed circular economy principles across air, sea, and land logistics. A strong focus lies on global packaging governance, standards, and regulatory compliance, including evolving frameworks such as PPWR. Operating in a highly international environment, you will balance strategic direction with hands-on execution while collaborating with diverse stakeholders across regions and business units.



You will report directly to the Head of Trade, Transportation and Logistics.
How you'll make an impact
- Define and execute the global sustainability strategy for transport, logistics, and packaging, aligned with corporate ESG and net‐zero ambitions
- Lead CO2 emissions reporting for logistics activities in line with GHG Protocol standards and corporate targets
- Identify and implement measures to reduce emissions across transportation routes, fleet usage, warehousing, and packaging
- Own global packaging standards and strategy, ensuring safety, quality, cost efficiency, material compliance, and circularity
- Govern packaging regulatory compliance globally, assessing impacts and mitigating risks in close collaboration with Legal and SCM functions
- Drive packaging market intelligence, monitoring trends, regulations, and indexes to inform strategy and stakeholders
- Engage and influence internal stakeholders
