Stretch Assignment: Stretch Assignment on Capacity building on Humanitarian
Access and Negotiations (P2/P3/P4), Rome, EMOPS (3-month remote)

Level: P-2/P-3/P-4 – we encourage staff from all levels with the relevant
experience to apply
Reports to: Humanitarian Access Specialist (ERT), Complex and High Threat
Environments team (based in Rome)
Duration: 3 months (with possibility of extension)
Section: Humanitarian Policy Section, EMOPS
Location: Remote (with two weeks on-site; 50% DSA is applicable), expectation to
work GMT+2/Rome time-zone working hours
Dates/Duration: From 15 September
Eligibility: All Fixed-Term, Permanent or continuing appointment UNICEF staff
members currently working in UNICEF worldwide.

Background

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented colleague for a three-month
stretch assignment to join the Humanitarian Policy Section (HPS), Office of
Emergency Programmes (EMOPS), to support the Section's work on assignment to
support work on humanitarian access, humanitarian negotiations, and capacity
building in complex and high-threat environments.



This role will operate under
the general guidance of the Humanitarian Access Specialist (ERT), Complex and
High Threat Environments Team (based in Rome).

Purpose of the Position

To support the Humanitarian Policy Section's work on assignment to support work
on humanitarian access, humanitarian negotiations, and capacity building in
complex and high-threat environments.

Duration
This stretch assignment will be for a period of three months with possibility of
extension.

Key expected results

* Support the organization of the biennial workshop for UNICEF Representatives
on complex and high threat environments, blended with an executive
humanitarian negotiations training for UNICEF country leadership. [30%]
* Review and systematize existing access and negotiations training modules;
update develop UNICEF micro-courses on critical humanitarian access related
topics, and create Menti-modules for the CHT
