About the role
BYD Milan Design Studio is seeking Senior/Chief Automotive CMF Designers to integrate Italian and European premium CMF aesthetics into BYD's global automotive design. As the core link between styling design and mass production, you will create unique CMF solutions and build BYD's exclusive CMF design DNA.
General Requirements (All Levels):
- Fluent in English (written and spoken);
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Industrial/Material/Textile/Fashion Design;
- Mandatory professional CMF design portfolio; Sensitivity to luxury & CMF trends;
- Ability to work in a multicultural international team.
Level-specific Focus & Responsibilities:
Senior
- Core Focus: Independent CMF project delivery + European resource integration
- Skills: Proven CMF experience (automotive/luxury/fashion); Strong premium CMF trend judgment; Ability to deliver production-ready CMF schemes
- Responsibilities: Independently develop premium CMF color palettes & material solutions; Explore sustainable materials/craft applications; Lead European CMF material resource integration; Coordinate with global suppliers for material availability
Chief
- Core Focus: Team building & management + global CMF strategy & supply chain coordination
- Skills: Extensive CMF leadership experience (top automotive/luxury brands, European experience preferred); Deep insight into European materials/crafts; Strong strategic innovation & cross-cultural management c
